Dan Marshall
Dan Marshall is a Denver-based watercolor artist and instructor known for his expressive, tonal approach to painting landscapes, street scenes and the figure. Blending traditional technique with impressionist sensitivity, his work emphasizes value, edges, and atmosphere to create mood-driven, evocative scenes. Producing the majority of his work plein air, Dan’s work is infused with a freshness and gesture combined with the use of a limited palette helps to teach clarity, restraint, and visual impact. Through his international workshops and popular online atelier program, he helps artists strengthen their foundational skills, refine their technique, and develop a personal visual language. His teaching focuses not only on watercolor methods but on cultivating a way of seeing—empowering students to paint with confidence, purpose, and expressive intent. Dan has written articles for Watercolor Artist, Plein Air magazine, has juried exhibitions for the National Watercolor Society, the American Impressionist Society, the Laguna Plein Air Painters Association and others. He is a signature member ot the AWS, AIS, LPAPA and is a member of the California Art Club and Salmagundi Club
